To ensure the best results and safety during your Forma RF treatment, it’s important to follow these guidelines:
1. Stop using any products containing Retinol one week before and after the treatment.
2. Discontinue topical retinoid therapy 2-4 days prior to your appointment.
3. Minimize sun exposure and use a zinc oxide sunscreen with at least SPF 30 if you need to be outdoors.
4. If medically permissible, avoid taking anticoagulants such as aspirin, mobic, ibuprofen, or naproxen for one week before the treatment.
5. Cease the use of Accutane six months prior to your appointment.
6. Avoid facials, lasers, injectables, and dermal filler treatments for one week before and after your Forma session.
7. Arrive at your appointment with clean skin—no lotion, makeup, perfume, powder, bath, or shower oil should be present on the treated area.
Following these recommendations will help ensure the effectiveness and safety of your Forma treatment.
The Aesthetician will begin by cleansing your skin. Subsequently, ultrasound gel will be applied to the designated treatment area, and the Forma RF device will be smoothly maneuvered over the selected regions until reaching and sustaining a specific temperature. Through radio frequency, the skin will be deeply penetrated and heated. The treatment head incorporates a temperature gauge to ensure precise control, preventing both under- and over-treatment of any areas. Generally, patients experience a pleasant warmth during the procedure.
A single session has the ability to provide a momentary skin tightening effect and create a more gentle and smoother complexion. Nevertheless, for results that are noticeably lasting, it’s advisable to undergo a minimum of 6 treatment sessions. For optimal outcomes, it’s recommended to arrange a weekly Forma RF facial session to fully experience the facial effects. If you decide to continue with monthly sessions for maintenance, the benefits can persist for several years, especially when combined with a suitable skincare routine, other treatment modalities and a healthy lifestyle.
After your Forma RF treatment, it’s important to follow these post-treatment care instructions:
Following these guidelines will help ensure optimal results and a smooth recovery from your Forma RF treatment.

Highly recommend. I suffer from severe dry eyes and have been seeing Sharon for almost two years now and she’s been absolutely amazing! When I first met Sharon, I’d been having pretty unbearable eye pain for some time. I’d previously gone to another dry eye clinic who sadly wasn’t much help. Sharon’s care on the other hand is really thorough, understanding and patient. I always feel fully confident in her care. She explains everything to me clearly, recommends different types of treatments and is actively thinking how to treat my dry eye symptoms. After doing IPL and RF, the difference has been incredible with my eyes! Def highly recommend Sharon!
I’ve had treatment for dry eyes and the whole experience has been excellent. Sharon is very professional and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole treatment. Everything was explained to me in detail along with visuals and all my questions and concerns were answered in full.
The results of my treatment have been amazing. I’ve had compliments on how my eyes are looking fresh and youthful. I highly recommend The Eye Retreat Medispa.
I’ve been seeing Sharon for about a year (?) now regarding my severe dry eyes and they’ve significantly improved my quality of life.
I was apprehensive about opening the more severe eye in the morning due to the abrasions and had to wake up in the middle of the night to reapply eye ointment, change my sleeping position, try squeeze an eye drop in my eye before I even opened it properly; even then it only worked about 40% of the time.
After throwing pretty much everything at it, IPL, radio-frequency, amniotic membranes etc., I now only need drops around 5 times a day on a good day (with some manuka honey drops) and only rarely have an eye abrasion (very very mild and not corneal). I do also wear dry eye glasses to help out in windy environments and when I work too but that’s a more recent development.
I can now open my eyes in the morning without worrying about pain!
As well as all the treatment options, they also made recommendations on products and supplements which are spot on and help.
I’d highly recommend anyone with dry eyes go here.
