A dual science graduate from the University of Bradford and Anglia Ruskin University, Sharon is recognised for her leadership in the dry eye field — earning the prestigious BCLA Dry Eye Practitioner of the Year award in 2023.
As the founder of The Eye Retreat Medispa, Sharon pioneered a unique approach that blends advanced ocular therapies with holistic care. Her clinics in Leeds and London are among the first in the UK to offer Inmode’s Envision RF and IPL treatments for dry eye a technology Sharon helped introduce as the first UK clinician and Lead KOL for the device.

I’ve been seeing Sharon for about a year (?) now regarding my severe dry eyes and they’ve significantly improved my quality of life.
I was apprehensive about opening the more severe eye in the morning due to the abrasions and had to wake up in the middle of the night to reapply eye ointment, change my sleeping position, try squeeze an eye drop in my eye before I even opened it properly; even then it only worked about 40% of the time.
After throwing pretty much everything at it, IPL, radio-frequency, amniotic membranes etc., I now only need drops around 5 times a day on a good day (with some manuka honey drops) and only rarely have an eye abrasion (very very mild and not corneal). I do also wear dry eye glasses to help out in windy environments and when I work too but that’s a more recent development.
I can now open my eyes in the morning without worrying about pain!
As well as all the treatment options, they also made recommendations on products and supplements which are spot on and help.
